Job summary
We are looking to recruit a self-motivated individual to join our team. Working as part of the team you will have excellent communication and organisational skills to provide advice, support and resolution for patients and their carers who wish to raise complaints and concerns about their care.
You will need a patient, caring approach and will be at ease in dealing with a variety of people, some of whom may be angry and upset and pose challenging or abusive / aggressive behaviour. You will also have contact with the bereaved and must be prepared for dealing with these situations.
An enthusiastic and capable team player, the post holder must also be able to work autonomously, providing a high-quality service to our patients and service users, and be able to achieve high quality performance against clear deadlines.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be motivated and highly organised with excellent IT skills with the ability to learn quickly.
You will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient service for complaints and PALS within the statutory requirements and Trust policy.
This role requires immediate and swift responsiveness to meet patient, relative and carers concerns and complaints in a calm and effective manner. You will be required to be diligent, articulate, have a good eye for detail and bepatient and compassionate.
