Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Endoscopy Delivery Manager to cover maternity leave for 9 months to lead change within Endoscopy and to ensure capacity and demand is maximised and patient waiting times are minimised against a backdrop of increasing demand and efficiency requirements.

Main duties of the job

In conjunction with the Clinical Service Manager, the Clinical Service Lead for Endoscopy and the Matron the post holder will work across organisational boundaries to ensure appropriate services are in place and to deliver national and local strategic and operational service objectives and standards for Endoscopy.

The post holder is responsible to the Clinical Service Manager to ensure the efficient and effective day to day running of the Endoscopy schedule within the Gastroenterology department, delivering quality, performance and achieving key service improvements relating to the Endoscopy timetable.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in discipline with significant quantitative content or related discipline

Desirable

  • Further training on project management prince tow.to post graduate diploma or equivalent
  • Practical knowledge of Change management (eg LEAN/SIX Sigma process) (or equivalent)

Knowledge

  • Good understanding of the NHS and of the management of health care services
  • Knowledge and practical experience of change management
  • Knowledge of cancer targets/pathways
