We are currently transforming Mental Health Services in Somerset and have an exciting opportunity a for you to be part of an expanding Community Mental Health Service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our South Somerset Yeovil Community Mental Health Services for two Clinical Associate Psychologist to join the teams.
We are a trailblazer Trust for the Community Mental Health Framework for Adults and Older Adults, and have received significant investment to transform all our community mental health services and have recently been awarded Mental Health Trust of the Year.
Within our community mental health service we work in partnership with GPs, our recovery partners the voluntary sector and community and charity services, wider teams, basing ourselves within GP Surgeries. You will offer assessments and targeted intervention focusing on patient's strengths and goals.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will deliver a high quality, comprehensive mental health service for patients with severe and enduring mental health difficulties within the Community Mental Health Service. The role involves managing a defined caseload, with a focus on working with individuals who experience a complex range of needs and difficulties, and supporting their significant others.
Acting as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will provide assessment, psychosocial, evidence-based interventions using a collaborative, recovery approach and will beskilled at positive risk management. The post holder will contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision for other team members, as agreed with the Team Manager, and participate in team and service development and evaluation. Liaison with a wide range of agencies is central to the role.
