Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Security and Incident response officer to join our team based at Musgrove Park Hospital!

The successful candidate will assist to manage, deliver and support the provision of a security service to the Trust which includes providing a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors, to prevent theft and vandalism. Assist staff with aggressive/violent visitors and patients.

Where possible, diffuse potentially difficult situations, contact external agencies such as the police or other emergency services if required, monitor CCTV and patrol the site internally and externally.

Main duties of the job

The role will include writing full reports and making recommendations to prevent reoccurrence and provide crime prevention. You will also be part of the incident response team attending any issues that occur in the Trust such as Fire calls, estates issues or concerns and work with the relevant teams to manage the situation in a calm and professional manner.

The successful post holders will need to have a flexible approach to working, the shifts are 11.5 hours a day, as well as potential nights and weekends.
