Job summary

Are you passionate about developing others and driving excellence in perioperative care?

We are seeking and experienced and motivated band 7 Senior Educator to support the professional development of our operating theatre teams.

You will design and deliver innovative education programmes, mentor staff, and promote best practice to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality surgical care. Working under the direction of the Theatres Education Lead, and in close collaboration with the Matrons, Clinical Leaders, and the wider education network, you will maintain a credible clinical presence supporting the learning, supervision, and professional development of junior staff, while fostering a culture of learning, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in recruitment events, open days, and public engagement activities, helping to showcase our service and inspire future practitioners.

You must be a registered perioperative practitioner with substantial experience in anaesthetics and at least one other perioperative area and hold a recognised teaching qualification (such as a PGCert in Clinical Education).
