Job summary

We're looking for dedicated Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioners to join our friendly and supportive inpatient physiotherapy teams across a range of specialties including DME, Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Stroke, and Neurosciences.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced physiotherapists and multidisciplinary teams. You'll contribute to delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient group while receiving excellent training to develop new skills.

Main duties of the job

Manage and support patient caseloads by undertaking delegated clinical tasks, assisting with treatment and rehabilitation programs, and monitoring patient progress in line with agreed care pathways.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure informed consent, patient motivation, and coordinated care.

Maintain accurate clinical and operational records, ensure the safety and readiness of physiotherapy equipment, and manage stock levels within the department.

Participate in teaching, supervision, and professional development by supporting junior staff, students, and volunteers, and maintaining own competency through continuous learning and appraisal activities.
