Job summary

The Quality Governance Facilitator supports the effective delivery of the Trust's quality governance agenda by helping services embed good governance practice, strengthening consistency, and enabling high-quality assurance reporting. Reporting to the Lead for Quality Governance, the post-holder provides coordination, analytical input and administrative support so that governance processes are reliable and streamlined, documentation is robust, and information is clearly presented to support learning, oversight and decision-making.

The role focuses on helping clinical teams and services function well within the governance framework including embedding the use of standardised agendas, templates and action trackers and supporting high-quality governance processes. Through coaching, guidance and practical support, the facilitator enables staff to engage confidently with quality governance and adopt reliable governance habits aligned to the Trust's values of Safe, Kind and Excellent.

Main duties of the job

Support the consistent delivery of the Trust's quality governance agenda by promoting standardised processes, templates, documentation and meeting structures.

Encourage and coach staff to use governance tools effectively to support transparent decision-making and provide robust assurance.

Provide practical operational insight to assist the Lead for Quality Governance in maintaining governance policies and core documentation.

Enable improvements by highlighting gaps and identifying best practice to share Trustwide.

Assist with Trustwide governance improvement plans through maintaining shared tools and supporting action owners.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • Completion of a recognised governance or quality improvement programme or evidence of ongoing CPD in governance, quality or risk.

Experience

  • Evidence of working within Healthcare/NHS Quality, Governance, Risk, Quality Improvement structures.
  • Demonstrable experience of facilitating assurance processes, including supporting triangulation of quality, safety and risk information within the NHS/Healthcare Setting.
