If so we have an exciting developmental opportunity for you in Resuscitation Services. A new role has opened for a Resuscitation Services Supplies and Equipment Controller.

We would expect you to carry out various duties including but not limited to ensuring stock provision within the Resuscitation Services is continuously maintained to a safe and acceptable level, ensuring equipment is maintained by Resus services are fit for purpose according to Resus/ Trust guidelines and working as part of the multidisciplinary team assisting with departmental related duties as directed by the Resuscitation Officer.

Main duties of the job

To set up and prepare emergency resuscitation equipment for all clinical areas consistent with the list on MKC, this will include handling resuscitation related drugs.

Act as an initial point of contact for emergency equipment related issues, problem solving where necessary and escalating to Resuscitation Officers where appropriate.

Feedback and provide education to clinical areas about none adherence to emergency equipment checks and provision. Inform Resuscitation Officers of the findings.

Report concerns on the incident report form highlighting the issues and actions taken to minimise harm.

To decontaminate / safely dispose of equipment (including equipment/instruments used for clinical emergencies).

Maintain general tidiness, cleanliness and organisation of all teaching facilities.

Monitoring stock levels to ensure there is a cost effective availability of consumables and resuscitation clinical equipment.

Re stocking and monitoring of emergency equipment/consumables for use in emergencies within the hospital grounds. This requires the handling of loads of various weights. Bending and lifting boxes of consumables.
