Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST5/ST6+)/Senior in Respiratory Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post is available to commence from 04 March 2026 until 02 March 2027.
This post is available to applicants who have clinical experience and qualifications equivalent to ST5 level in Respiratory Medicine or above (post CCT preferred). Main duties of the job
Respiratory Medicine at CUH covers a busy specialist workload across a dedicated ward (with an 8 bedded Respiratory Care Unit), outpatient, ambulatory and home-based services. The severe asthma service at CUH sits at the centre of one of the largest severe asthma networks in the UK. Currently there are >1000 patients on biological asthma treatments. It is also research-active, spanning from commercial to investigator-led basic science studies.
The teaching and research activities of the unit are well developed, in conjunction with the University of Cambridge.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
