Job summary
Research and Development is seeking a highly professional, comprehensive, and confidential Administrator to provide exceptional support to the Research Governance team in delivering safe, compliant and well-managed research across the Trust. The role is central to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for a wide portfolio of research studies, ensuring that key information, performance metrics and regulatory updates are collated, checked and recorded in a timely way.
Working as part of a busy office, you will manage a varied workload including maintaining electronic study files and databases, chasing and coordinating updates from research teams, preparing routine performance reports and responding to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong IT and data skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism at all times while contributing positively to the wider R&D team.
Main duties of the job
- Maintain accurate electronic study files and research databases, ensuring timely entry, checking and updating of research study information.
- Collate, monitor and report research performance metrics and KPIs, chasing outstanding information from research teams and stakeholders.
- Manage a busy inbox and enquiries, drafting clear, professional communications and resolving or escalating complex queries appropriately.
- Plan and prioritise a varied workload, working independently and as part of the Research Governance team to meet tight deadlines.
- Use strong IT and data skills (particularly Excel and databases), excellent attention to detail, and confident written and verbal communication to support safe and efficient research governance.
