Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lecturer Practitioner to join our CUH Academy team. This pivotal role supports the development and delivery of high-quality education and support across Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health Professions, Undergraduate Students/Apprentices, and Clinical Support Workers (CSWs).

Main duties of the job

Report to the Senior Lecturer Practitioners in the CUH Academy and will have a portfolio covering clinical education across the organisation for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (NMAHPs), Clinical Support Workers (CSWs), students and apprenticesWork with Divisional education Teams and colleagues in the CUH Academy to collaboratively oversee development and delivery of induction, onboarding and ongoing education for NMAHPs, CSWs and undergraduate students/apprentices.Act as an expert practitioner, resource and role model; to encourage evidence-based practice, providing support and supervision for unregistered and registered clinical staff and students/apprentices including those on professional development courses.In collaboration with Senior Lecturer Practitioners and Divisional education colleagues be responsible for the development of programmes of education and training; whilst demonstrating awareness of cultural and learning diversity in the workplace and the need to adapt training accordinglyCollaborate with Divisional Education Teams and specialty teams to collaborate and co-ordinate specialist teaching and training and actively contribute to implementing innovative educational approachesUndertake regular clinical duties (20%) to maintain clinical credibility, model best practice, and support staff and learners in clinical settings.Provide line management for the Assistant Lecturer Practitioners in the CUH Academy
