An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Occupational Therapy department to team lead the Major Trauma team.
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work with patients who have experienced major trauma in both the Acute and Rehab inpatient setting.
This will offer you experience in leading a team including; day to day leadership in the team, staff supervision, appraisal, teaching and education, development of staff and the service.
The role involves close working with the MDT as well as Senior Leaders within the Division. There will also be close working with senior leadership in Occupational Therapy with the opportunity to deliver the OT strategy and vision.
The Occupational Therapy department offers opportunities to take part in a research symposium and opportunities for innovation in an ever changing environment.
Main duties of the job
To provide highly specialised acute and early rehabilitation to patients on the major trauma pathway.
To lead team members of the Occupational Therapy team and ensure delivery of the highest possible standard of service, including teaching, induction and development of staff and students.
To lead your team in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Occupational Therapy service on a day-to-day basis.
To be an integral part of the Major Trauma Service. Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, including Consultants, Specialist Nurses and Specialist AHPs, working in both the acute setting and the Rehab Ward.
