Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical fellow Higher (ST3-5) in Paediatric Neuroimmunology (0.15 WTE) for a period of 1 year in the first instance, to commence as soon as possible.
A minimum of 12 months NHS experience is required and evidence of interest in a neurological associated specialty, adult or paediatric would be desirable.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for a trainee in Paediatrics or Paediatric Neurology (or a doctor hoping to specialise in Paediatric Neurology or an allied speciality) to gain specialist experience in the diagnosis and management of Paediatric Neuroimmunological disorders.
The postholder will work in the Paediatric Neuroimmunology team in Cambridge, which covers the nationally commissioned highly specialised Paediatric Multiple Sclerosis service. The paediatric team comprises of two paediatric neurology consultants, a clinical nurse specialist and a clinical fellow. This post is primarily aimed at individuals wishing to develop speciality skills in the diagnosis and management of children and young people with neuro immunological disorders like Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorders, MOGAD and Autoimmune Encephalitis. There are several educational and research opportunities including opportunities for national and international collaborative projects.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
