Job summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our multi disciplinary Paediatric Neuro-Oncology Service Team. This post is to cover a fixed term period and we are able to support applicants who wish for full time or part time hours.

Our 'Brainbow' Team reviews and coordinates the rehabilitation for children with a diagnosis of a primary brain tumour in the East of England.

You will be the specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist who is responsible for the physiotherapeutic aspect of their care . You will be predominantly based within the Outpatient setting, but will be involved in some Inpatient and Outreach work. We are a large regional hospital supporting both the local population and wider regional populations.

You will be strongly supported in learning new skills and gaining additional training in this regional cancer centre.

You will have a passion and clinical skills for the care of children with acute needs as well as being involved in their long term condition management. You will also have skills in service development and evaluation.

Main duties of the job

As a Physiotherapy specialist, you will have responsibilities that would include:

  • Planning, delivery and evaluation of the physiotherapy service
  • Operational management of the team
  • Supervision of staff and students
