Job summary

Main duties of the job

Provide professional skills and expertise to lead the domestic cleaning and patient services across a generic range of proactive & reactive action; ensuring high quality delivery of this work.

To deploy specialist contract management advice to the multi-million pound service contract/s taking a lead role as the interface between clinical staff, and the service provider, leading the development of a cohesive forward looking domestic cleaning and patient catering service, along with ancillary services such as linen and laundry.

Responsible for ensuring all relevant receive appropriate training and education and be responsible for developing generic and targeted training across domestic services, patient catering, food hygiene and basic nutrition topics as it relates to the patient menu offer ensuring the Trust complies with all relevant NHS guidance and legal requirements.

To work on behalf of the Trust to deliver an environment that is safe and secure so that the highest standards of clinical care can be made available to patients, by working in close partnership with stakeholders within the NHS and external organisations.

Develop and deliver the necessary strategic strategies and associated business cases, covering operational, physical and technical needs of all services and focusing on delivery of service over 2 & 5 year plans, contributing to strategic and annual business planning for Capital, Estates & Facilities Management.
