Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Diagnostic Radiographer to join our X-ray Imaging team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, for a fixed term period.

As a world-renowned hospital, there are many opportunities to develop your career. CUH are proud to have a team of Radiographers with extended roles in MSK reporting, chest and abdominal reporting, Fluoroscopy, HSGs and lithotripsy.

After an induction period, you will work within the different areas of imaging, and have a developmental rotation where you have the opportunity to work in an area that can help develop your future career. Please note that you will not rotate through cross sectional Imaging.

CUH provide anX-ray service to satellite Hospitals in Saffron Walden and Ely. You will be based at CUH but may be required to work offsite at these locations when required.

The X-ray department provides a 24 hour emergency service and operates an out of hours shift system. Radiographers are contracted to work a variety of shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

HCPC registration and BSc in Diagnostic Radiography is essential.

Main duties of the job

To perform a range of diagnostic radiographic procedures, as required throughout the department, and maintain associated records.

To supervise, assist and train student radiographers and assistant staff in both the delivery of the service and their individual development needs.
