Qualifications

Essential

• HNC Electrical Engineering Certificate in Management or equivalent

Desirable

• Authorised Person in accordance with Department of Health Guidance

Experience

Essential

• Proven maintenance management experience or relevant experience in managing Electrical plant and equipment
• Proven fault finding on electrical systems
• Experience of writing Safe Systems of Work
• Experience of managing permit to work systems
• Sound IT experience

Desirable

• Experience of complex plant operation and maintenance requirements within healthcare
• Experience of managing authorised processes and contract management
• Experience of programming building management computer systems

Knowledge

Essential

• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Working knowledge of wiring regulations
• Sound IT knowledge

Desirable

• Working knowledge of PPM schedules and management
• Knowledge of all Health Technical Memoranda

Skills

Essential

• People / staff management skills
• Good communication skills
