Staff Bank Services successfully provides temporary staffing throughout Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking to register reliable, hardworking individuals who would thrive in a busy environment & who are available to work in the vaccination hub Monday to Friday 06.30hrs - 18:00hrs (able to give a commitment of at least one shift / week) between October - December 2024. There may be the opportunity to work some weekend / twilight shifts.
Main duties of the job
The band 5 staff vaccinator will work as part of a dynamic team to deliver both Covid and Flu vaccines to hospital staff during the Autumn staff vaccination campaign (October - December 2024)
The worker will be responsible for informing staff about the vaccine, advising staff re possible contraindications, obtaining informed consent and administering the vaccine to clients whilst adhering to the PGD .
Staff will be required to complete online vaccination training and have competency assessed prior to the commencement of the campaign.
Staff should be able to commit to a minimum of one shift / week

- RGN or ANP qualification.
- Training will be given to undertake specific vaccinations and competency assessed.
- Require up to date competency in Basic Life Support and anaphylaxis.
Experience
Essential
- Commitment and willingness to undertake learning and development courses as required to ensure competency for role, this will include vaccine training, administration training, basic life support and NHS statutory and mandatory training.
- Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
- The worker would ideally have experience of administering vaccines and providing immunisation advice within a primary care team.
Desirable
- Previous vaccination experience.
