Job summary

We are looking to recruit Band 3 Healthcare Assistants to our Outpatient Gynaecology department in Clinic 21. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting nursing staff and clinicians, as well as assisting patients and their families.

You must be a motivated person, able to use your initiative with excellent interpersonal skills to be able to support patients and their families. You must be comfortable working in a team and possess a pleasant manner. You will have a passion for Womens Health as the post holder will be assisting in procedural gynaecology clinics such as Hysteroscopy and Colposcopy.

Main duties of the job

- Accurately and promptly report changes in patients condition

- Act as an advocate for patients and their families

- Act as a chaperone during clinic appointments, intimate examinations and procedures

- Participate in delivering skilled nursing care for patients attending procedural Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, Myosure and Cystoscopy clinics

- Perform Aseptic Non-Touch Technique and assist nursing and medical colleagues in procedure rooms

- Maintain a safe environment ensuring the clinical area is clean and tidy
