The paediatric virtual ward is a new service under development. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the initial pilot of the service, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to support patient pathways facilitating earlier discharge from the inpatient setting.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to onboard families to the paediatric virtual ward and provide follow up assessments, reviews and support to the parent and child whilst admitted to the paediatric virtual ward. You will work closely with the paediatric acute medical and nursing teams and colleagues in the adult virtual ward service.
