Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity to join CUH during an exciting phase, as we look to establish and develop a hub for our wide ranging innovation work across the Trust. This role will lead this work in our organisation with colleagues in clinical and non-clinical areas, in the context of the wider innovation landscape locally. We are investing in our integrated care systems to redesign pathways of care in partnership with community and primary care, leading specialised services across the region - including building new Children's and Cancer hospitals - and fostering innovation in health science and medical research. We are the largest centre of life science and medical research in Europe and are ambitious about fostering innovation and developing cross-industry partnerships to improve outcomes for our patients.

This role is a unique opportunity to drive the Trust's innovation strategy, shaping the future of healthcare delivery at CUH, for the benefits of patients now and in the future. The Director of Innovation will be a visible and inspiring leader, holding a director-level position responsible for developing and executing the Trust's Innovation strategy and expanding the Trust's Innovation function.
