Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for Band 5 staff to join our team and gain experience in a range of settings including Medicine, Trauma, Surgery, Intensive Care, Neurosciences, Musculoskeletal and Paediatrics. We are now looking for existing Band 5 staff and new graduates to apply with a view to being ready to start work with us by September 2024 or earlier.

Addenbrooke's Hospital is a regional teaching hospital providing specialist and generalist Physiotherapy Services to Inpatients and Outpatients. Band 5 staff join the five monthly rotational scheme and our emergency on call and weekend service. We offer excellent opportunities for learning in this large teaching hospital where you will be supported in your self development and career progression.

Main duties of the job

provide a high standard of physiotherapy to Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedic Wards, Medical Wards, Surgical Wards, Intensive Care Units (ICU), Paediatrics, Care of the Elderly Wards, Stroke Ward, Neurological and Rehabilitation Ward, Neurosciences areas, Community Services and Women's Health.

To participate in the junior rotational scheme, rotating five monthly, which involves working across hospitals in a range of Ward settings and Outpatient departments.

Essential

  • Degree in Physiotherapy or Student
  • Physiotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Student Physiotherapist pending registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) by September 2024

Desirable

  • Evidence of additional relevant training external to core degree
  • Other suitable qualifications related to working in the public domain

Experience

Essential

  • A broad range of undergraduate placements completed
  • Experience of working in an Acute service

Desirable

  • Experience in ITU / Critical Care
  • Placements / working in Community Services
