Job summary
As the Senior Advanced Clinical Practitioner you will deliver a 60% clinical component to their role at an advanced level. The remaining 40% of the role will be dedicated to the delivery of line management and workforce development for trainee ACPs and ACP development within Medicine.
There are currently 10 Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) recruited either in or have completed their training. You will be responsible for the line management of the ACP team within acute medicine and elderly care while having clinical responsibilities within these services.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop an expanding team within the delivery of acute services.
Main duties of the job
The post will focus on all aspects of workforce growth and management including education, financial oversight, rostering, and service delivery.
Engage in the clinical development of staff working within the team and to monitor the development of advanced level practice skills.
Practice as an advanced clinician coordinating and providing care as required across all clinical areas of the acute medicine, supporting junior clinicians.
Assess, examine, investigate, diagnose and treat all types of patients within the clinical areas with the support of the medical team.
