Job summary

You will be a senior member of the Estates and Facilities team and will provide expert management and leadership skills and have a wide range of responsibilities to ensure effective development, management and operation of the services within Estates and Facilities including;

BEM Assets Management BEM condition appraisal management SFG 20 maintenance and specification data Computer Aided Facilities Management data (CAFM) Annual data collection pertaining to assurance of Premises Assurance Model (PAM) Creation of board and compliance reports

Responsible for data quality, developing and ensuring compliance of the policies, procedures and accountability arrangements pertaining to data and information exchange throughout the BEM department. Project managing the works relating to BEM data, information collection and development of process and procedures. Developing and maintaining document management structure within BEM department.

Main duties of the job

To manage and service develop all maintenance providers (directly employed and contracted) under the post holder's control to provide an integrated support service to the Trust within a culture of continuous improvement.

To ensure that services are delivered in a cost effective and efficient manner always providing best value to the Trust, and be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and delivery of Service Level Agreements (SLA's) where applicable.

To ensure the effective planning and programming of planned preventative maintenance tasks and reactive work. To ensure the PPM schedule is regularly reviewed and updated to profile PPM's against resource availability. To review risks and issues identified by others and to prioritise, schedule and categorise as appropriate to minimize risk to the Trust.

  • BSc in an IM&T or technical discipline.
  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner project management qualification.

Desirable

  • Post graduate or masters in a related discipline.
  • Post Graduate diploma in Asset Management.

Experience

  • Significant experience of working within technical or Estates management teams, on data and information related management.
  • Proven experience managing large teams.
  • Experience of managing process driven operations within an organisation.
  • Experience of project planning and implementation.
  • Experience of working with complex processes and creating process maps and drafting policies and processes.
  • Change management experience.

  • Experience of working with Estates information systems (e.g., CAFM).
