Join the Non-medical Clinical Education team as the new Lead Professional Nurse Advocate looking after the delivery of the PNA role across the Trust, overseeing the provision of education and training for PNA's, as well as, ensuring there is a structured governance process behind the application of the A-Equip model.
You will be joining a dynamic and diverse team comprising of Clinical Educational Leads for pre-registration, post registration and HCSW development.
Your role will be to support PNA's across the Trust delivering the A-Equip model through the form of Clinical Supervision, as well as, be part of and ensure the PNA role is represented and discussed at both senior level in the organisation and regionally. Part of the role will be to ensure there is a strong governance process and quality assurance for the PNA service provision, reflecting the impact of the role in Trust.
You will be expected to work Monday to Friday. There might be occasional requirements for weekend and night shift working depending on service needs. We can accommodate flexible working.

Main duties of the job
The Lead Professional Nurse Advocate is a skilled specialist, providing leadership through leading and advocating, to support the nursing workforce to deliver safe and effective practice. The post holder will utilise a structured approach, identifying areas within the healthcare delivery process, which require improvement. Achieving this through clinical support, wellbeing support and learning support, utilising guidance issued by NHS England.
To provide PNA progress reports aligned to measurable project deliverables to the senior nursing team, divisional staff, and other key stakeholders external to CUH. To act as an effective professional role model to others.
Working with the Trust's Divisions, Education/ Practice Development Teams, Matrons and Wards the post holder will support the delivery of high quality safe and compassionate healthcare and act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work to enable implementation of the PNA role.
