We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and supportive rotational team. This essential role provides the opportunity for you to put your skills into practice, working with innovative technology & systems, whilst also continuing to build and develop new skills for future career progression.
We are able to offer an extensive rotational development programme which is suitable for Pharmacy Technicians joining the Trust from any pharmacy sector. Rotations currently include Inpatient and Clinical Trials Dispensaries, Central Pharmacy Stores and Distribution (CPSD). Aseptic Services Unit (Cytotoxic and TPN) and Clinical Services (Ward Based Medicines Management).
We are looking for highly ambitious registered Pharmacy Technicians with excellent organisational skills, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, motivated to support others and able to work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy in all aspects of pharmacy for patient centered care.
Main duties of the job
To work on rotation in all sections of Pharmacy (as specified), within the Trust, providing services to its patients and other customers in accordance with Trust and departmental policies and procedures.
To undertake appropriate post-qualification studies as required.

As a staff member in a large teaching hospital, you would be expected to support our various trainees where appropriate and to act as a good role model for the profession.
We welcome Pharmacy Technicians joining from other sectors and offer bespoke induction arrangements for those new to hospital pharmacy.
Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians qualifying within the next 6 months are eligible to apply.
You will be expected to participate in the extended hours Rota, which includes working late nights (until 7pm), weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and Bank Holidays.
