Job summary
The CT scanning department at the renowned Addenbrooke's (now Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) is recruiting for a motivated Radiographer who wants to further their career as a permanent Band 6 CT Radiographer.
The CT scanning department at CUH undertakes a wide range of scanning techniques some of which are not performed anywhere else in the country and in some research institutes. Due to our close links to the University of Cambridge and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus we can offer the opportunity to work with the most current technology, imaging protocols, and be at the forefront of new research and development of new techniques.
You will be required to carry out a wide range of CT examinations, working as part of our motivated and enthusiastic CT and multi-disciplinary team across the trust.
We currently have five CT scanners located on site, one at a local GP practice and we expect to have a seventh scanner up and running by mid 2024. This will be a Community Diagnostic Centre, located in Ely as part of the governments drive for community based imaging away from the acute setting.
You will be required to rotate around all scanning locations and participate in the out of hours service provision.
The ideal candidates will have DCR (R) or a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, proven participation in CPD and must have current HCPC Registration. Experience in cross-sectional imaging would be beneficial however full and comprehensive training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
- To work within our multi-disciplinary team.
- To carry out clinical and administrative work in CT in order to provide an excellent service to our patients and referrers.
- Principally based in the CT scanning department. This post may involve a flexible rotation through other radiology departments in line with future service development
For further information or an informal discussion please contact Kevin Mortimer (CT Manager) on 01223 388099 or email kevin.mortimer@nhs.net
