You will assist the ODN in supporting Neonatal Units across the region it serves to develop and implement family centred and integrated care initiatives, meeting the aims and key deliverables of the National Neonatal Critical Care Review (NCCR) 2019, the NHS Long Term Plan (2019) neonatal commitments and Three Year Delivery Plan (2023).

On behalf of the ODN, you will develop and lead on patient and family engagement initiatives across the EOE, act as a representative for all neonatal families and assist in reducing variation / inconsistencies in engagement and co-production with neonatal service user voice at a local / regional and ICB level.

This will be achieved by working creatively, respectfully, and collaboratively to co-produce solutions together.

Main duties of the job

The role will also include assisting with the improvement of the accommodation, facilities and support available to parents and families during their baby's Inpatient episodes. This will include maximising the use of available funding for these purposes through feedback analysis. This will also help to standardise Neonatal Services across the Network as well as helping support parents in preparation of transfer, transition to home, neonatal outreach, transitional care and/or Paediatric Services.
