Clinic Coordinator/ MDT Coordinator

Job summary

You will lead an administrative team and fracture clinic coordinator ensuring the team are meeting targets, managing and coordinate the administrative functions within the Trauma and Orthopaedic outpatient clinics. You will ensure the available clinic capacity is fully utilised enabling the service to meet its demand. Provide daily support to the staff within team and act as a key point of contact for the department. You will ensure patients receive good communication and excellent service, liaising and coordinating with all involved in the patient's care.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for delivering an excellent customer-care service by telephone and letters, ensuring confidentiality and dignity is maintained at all times.

To lead and manage a team to ensure all targets are met in line with the trust.

Ensure all patient appointments and cancellations are handled appropriately and information is recorded accurately on electronic databases.

Manage the clinic templates and ensure that these are updated in a timely manner.

Liaise with relevant staff when clinic lists are cancelled, patient appointments are rebooked or patient details are removed from the waiting list, following Trust Policies and Procedures and accurately recording information on electronic databases.

  • Educated to at least A Levels and with GCSE level, English - Maths grades between A*-C.

Desirable

  • Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent Or continued professional development

  • Previous experience of working in NHS.

  • Experience of working in a busy clerical/office environment or reception Service.
