Job summary
To have specific responsibility for the administration of the consultants and junior doctor's study leave financial allowances and days away to attend training.
This includes the recording and monitoring of the doctors study leave and funding spent
To produce and summarise financial reports for the PGMC Manager.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the organisation and administration of the Study Leave Database
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to Study Leave Committee which is chaired by the Deputy Director of Postgraduate Medical Education.
- To deal appropriate and effectively with the incoming mail and the resulting correspondence. Responding promptly to telephone calls, emails and enquiries
- Produce monthly financial reports, with information gathered from the Study Leave Database
- Keep an accurate financial costing of income and expenditure for the individual study leave claims, and produce financial statements to the manager

- Act as the contact point for consultant and junior doctors
- Managing the monthly study leave reports for the department and submitting return by deadline
- Liaising with the Trust finance team to ensure the individual study leave allowances are correctly recorded
- Carry out any other duties, consistent with the grade for the post, as may be required
- Deal with enquiries face to face, via the telephone and emails to help / support the GPSTR trainee's and the Training Programme Directors
