Job summary

A permanent position as a Senior sister/charge Nurse has become available on ward J2. If you are highly motivated, resilient with a drive for improving quality, this is an ideal opportunity to create a well-led team.

Ward J2-MTR is a centre of excellence for neuro trauma rehabilitation, consisting of 21 beds. You will be responsible for promoting a positive patient and staff experience and leading on the delivery of excellent nursing care

This role requires a collaborative relationship with the Multi-Disciplinary team, including the Consultants, Heads of Nursing, Matrons and the bleep holders. Excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing the highest standards to the trauma, spinal cord injured patients are key requirements.

You will have the opportunity to further develop your clinical, management and leadership skills with support from the senior nursing team here within Division D at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will demonstrate professional leadership having 24 hours overall responsibility for the operational management of the ward. To provide clinical expertise based on current research evidence. To act as a role model, ensuring the provision of high quality, effective safe care in line with the corporate nursing and midwifery agenda. To work in partnership with other senior nurses in the development of services both within the Division and across the Trust.
