Job summary
We are looking to recruit a hands on individual to join our Maintenance Team. Attributes being positive and having a "can do" attitude for performing work of a routine non-complex nature.
Being responsible for minor repairs and routine planned maintenance activities as directed by management within the NHS and Trust owned or properties within the surrounding area. Applicants can be 18 years upwards, school levers welcomed. NHS training and schooling included. You will be working in a team carrying out varied works with an emphasis on attention to detail to meet with our customer's high expectations. Duties will include carrying out repairs, assisting qualified tradesmen on repairs and installation, helping with engineering emergencies and actively participating in the operation of the Maintenance Management System.
Ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures. Taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment.

Main duties of the job
Essential
- Relevant experience of working in a maintenance or estates department
- A professional, presentable appearance and a positive attitude
- Attention to detail and able to operate and provide good communicational skills.
- Understanding and awareness of working within safe systems of work and current legislation
- Work well alone and as part of a team
- Ability to work in reflection of the trust values, in a Safe, Kind, Excellent manner.
Advantageous
- Electrical or mechanical NVQ 2 or equivalent(or A levels for school leavers)
- Experience of working in a Hospital environment
- Experience with replacing tubes and lamps
