Job summary
Reporting to the Trust's Executive Director of Workforce, you will work in collaboration with members of the Senior Workforce Team across the Trust's workforce agenda. You will directly lead on the culture, leadership and learning portfolio which includes Organisational Development (OD), senior leadership development, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) as well as education and training. You will share in and drive our passion, working organisationally as well as with system partners, to make real improvements in these areas.
You will be a compassionate, creative, and inclusive leader with credible senior OD experience in large and complex organisations. You will inspire confidence through your knowledge and expertise and support our workforce functions to enable the Trust to deliver its strategic ambitions; improving patient care, supporting our staff, and building for the future.
Working collaboratively with system partners you will deliver the culture and leadership aspects of the system workforce plan, the NHS People Plan and the NHS People Promise.
Main duties of the job
The role of Director of Culture, Leadership and Learning has three core elements:
To work with the Executive Director of Workforce and members of the Workforce Senior Management Team to lead on all aspects of the Trust's workforce and OD strategies and plans
To directly lead the following areas of work:
- Leadership and Organisational Development.
- Workforce Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
- Employee engagement and retention.
- Multi professional Education, Learning and Development.
- Employee and management development.
- Talent and career progression.
- The 'Good Work' agenda, a series of areas that will change over time where we seek to make a step change improvement in the experience of CUH staff
Work with the relevant Associate Director of Workforce on leading the Trust's multi-professional education, learning and development agenda.
