An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Full Time Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to assist the nursing team on N2 in Addenbrookes Hospital.
N2 (Respiratory Medicine and Haematology) is a 22 bedded area with all side rooms for respiratory, haematology and oncology patients with potential infectious illnesses.
We strive to provide high quality patient care and this is all achieved by providing active management of medical conditions using the best available clinical evidence. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in the care of deteriorating patients.
You will be required to work as part of a team to deliver an exceptional level of nursing care to our patients. We require motivated individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent standards of care and are driven to make a difference to our patient's experience of healthcare. A calm, diplomatic and caring approach is necessary and you must have the ability to deal with the varied and challenging demands of this role. You must be able to multi-task and prioritise under pressure, work within a large multi-disciplinary team and ensure the trust values are incorporated in to practice at all times.
You will be supported by the senior sister and professional development team to complete band 3 competencies including venepuncture, cannulation and undertaking ECG's.
This post involves a full range of shifts including nights and weekends.
