Job summary

We are looking for someone who has experience or a keen interest in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. You may have some experience already and require a supportive team who can provide comprehensive training to excel. Alternatively, you may be looking to develop your skills in the field of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and a structured Band 5 to Band 6 transitional training programme could be considered, if appropriate.

The post will allow you to gain experience with pelvic floor dysfunctions (urogynaecology and colorectal) and musculoskeletal conditions linked to pregnancy and postnatally. There will opportunity to teach education classes. We also provide assessment and treatment on our Maternity and Gynaecology Wards, therefore you will have a varied caseload.

The post will include weekend and Bank Holiday cover for our Maternity and Gynaecology Wards.

We are a small friendly team who are supportive in developing our team and are keen to upskill staff for both job satisfaction and service development.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to patients within the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service in both Inpatient and Outpatient settings.

To provide evidence based assessment and treatment for antenatal and postnatal musculoskeletal conditions, incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain.

To support Inpatient services such as our postnatal Ward and post-op gynaecology surgeries. This will include some weekend hours (rota per month).

  • -HCPC registered
  • -Degree in Physiotherapy (or Diploma equivalent)
  • -Evidence of relevant CPD
  • -Evidence of relevant pelvic health post-graduate courses

Desirable

  • -Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Experience

  • -Experience gained through junior / senior rotational post including musculoskeletal, surgical and respiratory
  • -Have strong experience of treating antenatal and postnatal musculoskeletal conditions in an Outpatient setting
