We are looking to recruit a Pharmacy Procurement Specialist - Medicines to join our team to provide an efficient and effective management day-to-day operations and logistics within pharmacy procurement.
This is an excellent opportunity for any Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacy Procurement Specialist who wants to further develop their career in Pharmacy Procurement in a large organisation where staff are highly valued. You will be supported by an open and approachable senior management and executive team and be able to help us to deliver the best quality and safest patient care.
Main duties of the job
To support the delivery of an efficient purchasing and contracting service to meet customer requirements ensuring the best value for all organisations served and to promote this service to all users.
Contributing to updating and maintaining the Pharmacy Ordering System (Powergate) to ensure contract compliance ensuring optimum cost savings for the Trust.
Co-ordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, Commercial Medicines Unit (CMU) contacts and Pharmacy staff to investigate and resolve supply problems ensuring procurement guidelines are adhered to.
