Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Infectious Diseases and GIM in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.
This is a 10PA substantive post with Infectious Diseases and General Internal Medicine. 4 PAs of the post will be spent in Infectious Diseases, where the post holder will be covering the ward inpatients, providing specialist consults. There will be opportunities to undertake specialist Infectious Diseases clinics. The post holder will be expected to be part of Infectious Diseases on-call rota.
CUH is the regional Infectious Diseases centre for East Anglia, receiving many complicated infection case referrals from around the region. 3PA will be spent working in General Medicine to focus on delivering inpatient care to the newly established general medical wards. 3 PAs are reserved for infection control work, where the post holder will join the infection control team to formulate and deliver Trust infection control policies.
Main duties of the job
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine, or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications would be welcomed from those keen to work either full time, less than full time or those wishing to job-share.

About us
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
