The EAGLET study is a multi-centred randomised controlled trial, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the lead site and sponsor.
You will be responsible for the provision of high quality, patient focused clinical research for the EAGLET study. This post is funded by a grant from The Evelyn Trust to investigate whether continuous EEG is superior to amplitude-EEG (aEEG) for neonates with confirmed or suspected seizures in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will assist in developing, supporting and promoting involvement in clinical research in the Cambridge Centre for Perinatal Neuroscience, specifically with the EAGLET grant.
You will liaise with the trial coordinator, chief investigator for EAGLET and local principal investigator in the smooth running of the project both at CUHFT and the other recruiting sites.
The post is funded for 12 months at 37.5 hours per week although part-time job share would be considered.
Main duties of the job

- The post-holder will assist in developing, supporting and promoting involvement in clinical research in the Cambridge Centre for Perinatal Neuroscience, specifically with the EAGLET grant.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the key responsibility is to ensure successful completion of the project as laid out in the study protocol, specifically: to help identify eligible study/clinical trial participants; recruitment and informed consent; provision of information and support for patients/participants; co-ordination of study/trial patient treatment, assessment, follow-up and data collection according to specific clinical study/trial protocols, in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice, Research Governance and EU Clinical Trials legislation
