Job summary

Do you want to support clinical studies that could shape the future of medical treatment? Would you like to develop your leadership skills whilst co-ordinating clinical research across a variety of specialties including: Metabolic, Vasculitis, Rheumatology.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have the required Paediatric skills to care for children participating in Clinical Research Studies . In collaboration with band 6 nurse support be responsible for the coordination and Paediatric oversight of research studies involving children and their families within the CRF.

Provide skilled nursing care to ensure the safe and efficient running of research studies within the facility including caring for adult patients with support.

To care for adult patients under the supervision of adult trained staff.

Be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care, using agreed frameworks during research studies.

Participate in the co-ordination of research studies within the CCRC and provide research skills and clinical care for patients undergoing investigations.

This post involves shift patterns, including internal rotation onto night duty to ensure 24 hour cover (including bank holidays).
