Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Podiatrist to join our friendly team within the Diabetes Foot Team at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
You will work within our busy 5 days a week multi-disciplinary Diabetes Foot Clinic.The work will include assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with a wide range of clinical and medical needs. Clinical time will be spent working within the multidisciplinary Diabetes Foot Team and Podiatry led Clinics to provide integrated care to Outpatients and Inpatients with acute and complex problems associated with diabetes.
You should possess a good knowledge of the high risk foot and be confident in understanding diabetes and managing diabetic foot complications.
You will be expected to contribute to team working, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in linking with other healthcare teams in both secondary and primary care.You should be highly organised, using your initiative and be keen to make a positive contribution.
You will be given the opportunity to work through a competency program, as well as our corporate induction programme.
We may consider a Band 6-7 development post.

Main duties of the job
You will manage a high risk case load originating from both hospital and Community referrals. This will necessitate liaison with referring GPs, Community Podiatrists and hospital Consultants from specialist services.
Clinical time will be spent within the multidisciplinary Diabetes Team and Podiatry led Clinics to provide integrated care to Outpatients and Inpatients with acute and complex problems associated with Diabetes.
You will also contribute to service development and research process.
