Main duties of the job

Please see below for the areas we are currently recruiting for:

PICU/HDU - Provides care to all children aged 0-16 years requiring intensive or high dependency treatment. CUH provides a regional trauma /neurosurgical service for the eastern region. 13 beds in total for PICU and HDU.

NICU - The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is part of the East of England Neonatal operational delivery network. 40 cots designated as 12 ITU, 16 HDU and 12 SCBU. The unit admits sick new-born babies which includes prematurity, surgical, neuro-critical care and neurosurgery.

Paediatric Day Unit- Clinic Area for Paediatric Oncology and Haematology patients throughout the Eastern region. 6 bedded recovery area following procedures and also day case Chemotherapy. Open Mon- Fri.

Charles Wolfson Ward- Provides care for babies up to 6 weeks of age , with conditions such as jaundice, sepsis and poor feeding. Accepts admissions/transfers from NICU, as well as emergency admissions. 12 bedded ward.

Clinic 6- Looks after children from 0-18 years of age. The children coming to the clinic come to see a doctor or nurse as a follow up appointment. The children coming to clinic have a wide variety of illnesses and conditions so there are many different doctors and nurses in the clinic. The clinic is open from 08:30 until 17:30 Monday to Friday.
