The Endoscopy Unit at CUH is the place you are looking for!

We have an exciting opportunity for Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our friendly team and are looking for professional, committed, hardworking, reliable and forward thinking Nurses with a passion to learn and develop in this expanding speciality. Previous experience is not essential as training will be provided, however an enthusiasm to learn new skills and knowledge is essential

Our purpose built, 7 roomed, JAG accredited Endoscopy Unit currently undertakes approximately 22,000 procedures per year. This includes a range of Diagnostic and Therapeutic GI, Respiratory and Urology procedures such as EUS, ERCP, Enteroscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, EBUS, Medical Thoracoscopy, and cryotherapy. We also support the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.

The Endoscopy Unit is currently open between 08:00 and 19:00 Monday to Saturday, with the Nursing Team working 4 days a week. You will be required to participate in the Endoscopy Nursing on-call out of hour's service once training has been completed.

Main duties of the job

To ensure that patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care within the endoscopy unit.
