Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic BSE accredited Cardiac Physiologists to join our team and provide excellent care to patients at Addenbrooke's Hospital and at new Community Diagnostic Centres. This is an opportunity to champion for diagnostic services on site and away from acute facilities with direct impact on patient experience and outcomes.
Ideal candidates will hold BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent, full BSE accreditation (or European equivalent), and will be interested in working with the 8a Cardiac Physiology Lead post holder to deliver Stress echo, Audit and Transthoracic echo services. Also, we offer 1 hour echo slots and you will be involved in all aspects of the non-invasive Cardiology Department, including Holter Analysis, ETT, and administrative duties such as triaging.
We are a BSE accredited department, currently providing adult TTE (inpatient and outpatient), TOE, DSE, ESE, contrast and bubble echo procedures to the trust. We are in the process of developing an exciting new echo-oncology service, which we hope to launch next year.

We offer 12.5% of salary pro rata RRP as well as weekend/evening bank work at a competitive rate.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder should possess the skills to perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms, physiologist led exercise treadmill tests, tests, 24 hour Holter monitors, 7 day cardiac monitors, 24 hour blood pressure monitors and 12 lead ECG's.
- The post holder will remain professional at all times, liaise with other clinical teams and maintain good public relations on a one-to-one basis with the general public and other interest groups.
