Job summary

To provide leadership on Compliance, Quality and Governance to the Imaging Directorate;

  • Raise awareness of the importance of Quality Management within Imaging, applying a standardised approach to Quality Management within the Directorate.
  • Ensuring compliance and best practice processes are in place to meet appropriate regulatory, legislative, professional and accreditation (QSI) requirements.
  • Be the accountable lead for the Imaging Directorate in implementing and maintaining a clearly defined integrated approach to quality and safety in order that the Directorate continually strives to provide a quality service.
  • The post holder will be responsible for delivering the Quality and Clinical Governance Agenda for the Imaging Directorate.
  • Risk and Health and Safety lead.
  • Responsible for developing a robust document control system.
  • The appointee will have an in-depth understanding of all areas of clinical governance including risk management, clinical audit and clinical outcomes, incidents, complaints, patient feedback and health and safety.

Main duties of the job

A key leadership role has arisen within the Imaging Department at Addenbrookes. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is committed to providing leadership on Compliance, Quality and Governance to the Imaging Directorate.

The Imaging Department is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to lead on the Quality agenda and its journey towards maintaining Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) accreditation.

The aim of the role is to:

  • Promote a quality culture where imaging services, management and operations are working collaboratively to ensure the delivery of high quality pre-examination, examination, reporting and post-examination processes as well as ongoing evaluation and continual improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance and best practice processes are in place to meet appropriate regulatory, legislative, professional and accreditation (QSI) requirements;
  • Be the accountable lead for the Imaging Directorate in implementing and maintaining a clearly defined integrated approach to quality and safety in order that the Directorate continually strives to provide a quality service;

  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Desirable

  • Qualified Radiographer with Degree in Radiography or equivalent
  • Post graduate qualification in Health Service Management or other relevant subject

Experience

  • Significant experience of senior managerial/supervisory level
  • Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team with effective utilisation of resources
  • Experience of change management
  • Experience of developing and managing quality based systems and audits
  • Report writing experience

Desirable

  • Involvement with the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) accreditation scheme
