Job summary

This post is a fixed term contract until 18.05.2027 to cover a maternity leave within the Acute & Community Dietetic Service.

This role will provide essential support to the Acute and Community Dietetic Service, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of a nutrition and dietetic service to patients across West Suffolk. The role acts as a key point of contact for patients, carers, GPs and other healthcare professionals, offering a professional and responsive service while coordinating appointments, managing referrals, and maintaining accurate patient information.

Working closely with the Professional Lead Dietitian, Community Dietetic Manager and wider dietetic team, the postholder supports the operational running of the service through effective communication, organisation, and administrative coordination. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise a varied workload, and a commitment to confidentiality and high-quality patient care. The postholder also contributes to service evaluation, data reporting, and the induction and training of new staff.

Main duties of the job
