Job summary
We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join our business intelligence service at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
Our BI team are responsible for both reporting requirements to NHS England and analytics for our clinical and operational colleagues in the Trust. This role is working within the clinical reporting team, initially focussing on the clinical support division, which includes radiology, pathology and therapies, although opportunities will arise to work with our other divisions.
Staff development is important to us, and we work both informally within the service to share learning and training, as well utilising formal training and development.
This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work on site at Quince House at the West Suffolk Hospital site in Bury St. Edmunds at least 40% of the time.

Main duties of the job
Our BI officers generally specialise in one of the divisional specialities, although rotating to other areas may be on offer in the future. You will be makingrecommendations for improvements where necessary in the monitoring of activity, performance, data quality and data collection systems.
The Business Intelligence department are responsible for producing the reporting requirements for NHS England, Regional Health Teams, Integrated Care Board (ICB), regular internal reporting, BI dashboards and ad hoc reports.
The role will need strong data analysis skills, excellent attention to detail and good communication skills. You should have experience with information reporting solutions and have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and ideally knowledge of SQL Server, PowerBI, Business Objects or Tableau.
