Job summary
We are looking to recruit an expert in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) to join our multi professional team who are designing the new West Suffolk Hospital - Future System Programme (FSP).
The successful candidate will take a lead role within the team, to ensure that IPC is incorporated throughout the design and construction of the new hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for working closely with the New Hospital Programme (NHP) IPC team along with the Trusts Technical and Design teams, to ensure that IPC requirements are identified, considered and applied as part of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) design stages.
The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist advice and support to the relevant FSP workstreams; Clinical, Estates & Facilities, Workforce and Digital to ensure that IPC requirements are clearly understood and factored into the decision that are made.
The post holder will work in conjunction with the Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC), the Head of Nursing for the FSP and the Lead Nurse for IPC to contribute to the further development and implementation of the Infection Prevention and Control strategy, which will need to reflect the current hospital site, through the stages of design, construction and occupancy of the new hospital.
