Job summary
We are looking for a highly organised, motivated and proactive individual with excellent administrative and IT skills to provide administrative and operational support to the Breast Imaging Department, ensuring the effective delivery of the Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) and symptomatic Breast Imaging services. The post holder will support the Office/Programme Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, staff development, and quality management, including IT system administration and reporting.
Main duties of the job

To support the Office/Programme Manager in the effective operational management and delivery of the Breast Screening Programme and symptomatic imaging services, deputising as required to ensure continuity of service.

To maintain, administer and develop departmental information systems and contribute to digital transformation and service improvement initiatives.

To support quality management processes, including acting as Deputy QMS Coordinator and ensuring work instructions are reviewed and maintained in accordance with agreed schedules.

To coordinate and deliver administrative support for breast screening and symptomatic pathways, working closely with the Breast Care Team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

To provide supervisory support to administrative staff, including training, appraisal and maintenance of professional standards.

To undertake a broad range of administrative duties, respond to departmental enquiries, represent the service at meetings, and contribute to the efficient and effective running of the department.
