Job summary

Ward G9 is a 27 bedded medical ward specialising in respiratory medicine.

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse who is interested in delivering high standards of care to individuals with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.

You are expected to take delegated responsibility in a given shift for a group of patients. With experience, you will be expected to take charge of the ward in the absence of the Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 5 Nurse you will maintain a high standard of patient care using effective communication to the patient.

You will maintain a safe and clean working environment, providing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients. Ensuring accurate, detailed and timely documentation.

Key duties include: medication administration, performing clinical procedures, monitoring patient conditions, working with the MDT, ensuring safe and timely discharges, communicating with relatives.
