Job summary
The West Suffolk Hospital Foundation Trust Endoscopy Unit is excited to announce vacancies for ambitious and passionate registered nurses to learn new skills and explore a rewarding career in our JAG (Joint Advisory Group) accredited unit. Although it is desirable to have previous endoscopy experience full training will be provided.
We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, who have a kind and caring attitude who wish to expand their skills in the health care setting and develop their leadership skills.
Main duties of the job
The Endoscopy unit is a busy JAG accredited Unit undertaking diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. As an Endoscopy staff nurse you will be trained to rotate around all sub specialities within the unit. This includes Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, Gastroscopy and Cystoscopy. They are expected to take delegated responsibility in a given shift for a group of patients. With experience, they may be expected to take charge of the Unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse.
